  • Sectionals/Dual Meet tournaments that represent a Division I (Non-State) championship (i.e. top teams in the state competing in a tournament that is seperate from the State meet) are no longer held
  • 1971-72 through 1989-90 the Metropolitan Division Sectionals was a postseason tournament that involved the top teams in the state prior to the State meet (it was not held in 1973-74, 1974-75, and likely not in 1979-80, 1980-81, and 1982-83 through 1987-88)
  • 1990-91 through 2003-04 there was no postseason tournament involving the top teams in the state prior to the State meet
  • 2004-05 through 2008-09 the Haig Varadian Dual Meet State Championship included Division I and II teams (2008-09 had Division I teams only) but was not considered the top wrestling championship in the state (the State championship meet was considered the top title)
  • Numbers in parentheses are the number of championships that school won in this division
