Girls Tennis Postseason Formats

 

Singles, Doubles Championships

  • Two rounds of qualifying precede the 32-player Singles Tournament and two rounds of qualifying precede the 16-team Doubles Tournament
  • Finals of the Singles and Doubles tournaments are held on a Sunday in Mid to late October

 

 

Division I, II

  • The top 6 teams qualify for their respected division's playoffs
  • In the quarterfinals: No. 3 plays No. 6 and No. 4 plays No. 5 (No. 1 and No. 2 receive byes)
  • In the semifinals No. 1 plays the winner of the 4-5 game and No. 2 plays the winner of the 3-6
  • Finals of the tournaments are held either the second to last weekend or last weekend of October

 

Division III

  • The top 4 teams in III-Central-A and the top 4 teams in III-Central-B qualify for the postseason tournament
  • In the quarterfinals: 1CA plays 4CB, 1CB plays 4CA, 2CA plays 3CB, and 2CB plays 3CA
  • In semifinals the winner of the 1CA/4CB game plays winner of the 2CB/3CA game and the winner of the 1CB/4CA game plays winner of the 2CA/3CB game
  • Final is held either the second to last weekend or last weekend of October

 

 

New England Championships

  • New England Championships are held on the second Friday of June (Singles and Doubles tournaments)
